Cierant Receives WBENC Certification

DANBURY, Conn. Certification was granted by the Women Presidents’ Educational Organization of New York (WPEO), a regional certifying partner of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC).

Founded in 1997, the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) is the largest third-party certifier of businesses owned, controlled and operated by women in the United States.

As the nation’s most highly regarded form of WBE certification, the process of certification is a meticulous one, including confirming the business is at least 51% owned, operated and controlled by a woman via in-depth reviews of the business and on-site inspections. Cierant exceeded these standards by being not only owned and controlled by a woman, but comprised of a 67% female staff and led by a predominantly female management team for over the past decade.
